…Metro Transit is better
for advance planning
if you already know what bus you’re looking for …whereas Google is better for

This site was created by the Minnesota Legislature to help citizens track Legacy Amendment spending. We’ll be interested to see how this develops.
Being involved with a couple of arts organizations, I’m very interested.

North Minneapolis Churches Discussion →
edkohler:
Jeff Skrenes reporting on a recent meeting of community churches in North Minneapolis. The discussion never seemed to get around to discussing Hollywood level production values of services, and focused instead on how the churches can help hurting members of their community with things like food and shelter.

It’s that time of year to vote for the Twin Cities Hip Hop Awards. Prof is up for a lot of awards so if you could please spread the word and give him a few wins that would be wonderful.

I’ve seen those up and down Lyndale (and another one a ways east on 38th) and wondered about them. I really like them. I didn’t realize they had quotes from the artists on them. Pretty neat. The KNA and the good folks at Blackbird Cafe held a reception for the photographers last week.

In the Heart of the Beast Puppet and Mask Theatre just sent an e-mail showing La Befana, heroine of their Christmas show, hanging out in Minneapolis. Interesting selection of stops for this mysterious Italian lady and her giant rat friend. Read Leslie Kruempel’s Daily Planet review of La Befana here.

At Sullivan Food Market, a 49-year-old man attempted to shoplift seven bags of frozen shrimp. When approached by officers, the man took off running north on Blaisdell Avenue.
