Bedlam Theatre is moving—but where? A plan to move to Seward, which 24 hours ago was perceived to be a sure thing, now looks unlikely. Sheila Regan files an update from last night’s community meeting.

It’s a long story but tonight I had to take the LRT from Target Field Station to MOA and back again without leaving my seat. On the northbound trip I noticed a familiar pattern in the bricks on the platform of the Bloomington Central Station. Figuring I was reading too much into a simple design I…

On behalf of everybody at Radio K, I’m proud to announce that the station is beginning a free music podcast. It’s our Track of the Day, and it launches September 1.

After years of only offering our playlist via our signals and streams, we’re very excited to be able to offer listeners old and new the chance to hear some of our favorite tracks every single weekday.

We’re pleased that this feature is finally up and running because very few college radio stations are able to offer this type of content. As of now, we’re able to offer downloads via three methods: RSS feed, iTunes podcasting, and single-track download from the TotD page on our website.

This makes me very happy. I love the Current song of the day podcast, but Radio K will offer more diverse songs.

Awesome. Because, what he said.

Sheldon posted this to the Seward Neighbors Forum where the discussion continues.

The Bedlam Theatre has just decided to temporarily re-locate into the Bystrom site (now called “Seward Commons” by Redesign). It will be for the winter and it will include office…

Your Minnesota choices are Chef Shack and Pizza Festa di Viaggio (in Shoreview). I know y’all <3 Chef Shack, but woodfired pizza on wheels is nothing to sneeze at.

You have 10 daily votes to distribute.

Food truck nominations are in from across the country. Now, it’s time to cast your vote as your favorite races to become the highest vote getter and win $10,000 and the opportunity to appear on the next season of The Great Food Truck Race. Plus, with every vote you cast, you’ll get a chance to win a trip to the Food Network New York City Wine & Food Festival.

You will have to give them your email address and phone number (contest winner notification only) to vote.

Badass is right.

There are these great pockets of enlightenment everywhere. Let’s look at the Midwest. Take Minneapolis - there are people out there fighting the good fight. It’s easy as a New Yorker to look out there and say, “Okay, well, we were doing that three years ago,” you know, that’s a kind of tendency. What Minneapolis has that many other places don’t have is a large Vietnamese community. You have Vietnamese food in Minneapolis that’s better than any you can get in New York. So that’s what’s exciting about Minneapolis - You’ve got these great ethnic communities that brought their food and techniques with them.
